teaching

I have been studying with Teruo Furuya, principal teacher and director of the Kokusai Shakuhachi Kenshūkan (KSK) in Japan, since 2013, received my teaching license (shihan) in 2021 and I’m looking forward to share my experience and knowledge.

Teaching is available in the tradition of the Kokusai Shakuhachi Kenshūkan (KSK)/Katsuya Yokoyama lineage, as transmitted to me by Teruo Furuya sensei.

The lessons can be individually tailored and we can also cover lots of the basic shakuhachi techniques before diving into the honkyoku music tradition.

The lessons can be taken either in person (near Paris) or through skype/zoom. In person lesson last about 60 minutes (€ 50) and online lessons are about 45 minutes (€ 35). Teaching languages are french or english.

Just contact me and we can discuss the option and approach. Beginners are of course welcome!
